About Us

Grassroots Toastmasters Club is an interest group of The Grassroots’ Club and a member club of Toastmasters International. The club was established in 2004 with the purpose of improving one's speaking skills and acquiring technics in overcoming fear of public speaking. The club has made significant progess since then and has won several prestigious awards.

Our members and guests have always found a feeling of warmth and friendly environment at all the meetings where they shared their experience of public speaking and encouraged each other to speak and to speak well. We are committed to maintain this healthy spirit of sharing and the conducive environment of learning through sharing.

We always welcome you to our meetings to find out for yourself the benefits and rewards that you can achieve by becoming a confidant speaker whether in small groups or in front of large crowd. Take the first step and come to see for yourself!

Club History
Grassroots Toastmasters Club is chartered on 9th August 2004, sharing the same birthday as the nation.

The mission of the Grassroots Toastmasters Club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop and practice communication skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

We meet on every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Club meetings are held at the Grassroots Club, Level 2's meeting room. There is no entry charge for guests. Attire is smart casual and refreshments would be provided during a 15 minutes interval.
